It’s possible due to the really high level training in Russian universities.

Tomsk Polytechnic University – a significant state scientific and educational center of Russia – is constantly working at upgrading its educational courses and develops new ones that meet both individual and public requirements. Tomsk Polytechnic University has the great experience of international students training. Institute for International Education (IIE) is a department of the university, aimed at providing opportune and successful learning and associated supported services to students from various countries. Orientation program helps you to settle in a new socio-cultural environment in the shortest possible time. Each new student is provided with appropriate personal curriculum according to his/her needs. Well-qualified academic staff helps every student to display his/her talents and to become successful in studying. Students from South Korea, India, Cyprus, Switzerland, China, Malaysia, Germany, Vietnam, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands start their studying in small groups by supervising of considerate academics and instructors.

The club helps newcomers to settle in new environment. Council of the club consists of students from different countries. The club closely cooperates with other universities and cultural societies of Tomsk.

Russia, the biggest country in the world, is located in the eastern part of Europe and the northern part of Asia. It occupies 17, 075, 400 square kilometers. The capital of Russia is Moscow. Russia is a multinational state: except Russians, there are 100 different nationalities to consider Russia to be their homeland.

In addition to the colorful and political history of the country Russia has for centuries been known as a country of high intelligence, art and sciences. What could be more satisfying that studying the rich history of the country at a spot and experiencing the Russian art forms, like classical and modern ballet, opera, museums, theatre, art museums, etc. Russia is a country of many famous names: Peter the Great, Anna Pavlova, Rimskij-Korsakov, Alexander Pushkin, Anton Chekhov, Lev Tolstoy, Peter Tchaikovsky, etc.

The well-known fact is that Russia is a country with a great scientific potential that is being integrated with European one may bring significant results for the world scientific community.

Tomsk is located almost in the geographical centre of Russia. Though it was founded in 1604 and has rich and interesting history it’s really attractive nowadays as never before. Tomsk is an educational and scientific centre with rich traditions of high education. Six state universities operate here. Young people from different Russian cities and other countries come here for studying. Every sixth citizen of Tomsk is a student that’s why it is called a students’ city.

You can find Tomsk to be quiet, safe and hospitable. Roman-Catholic church, synagogue, mosque and Orthodox temples situated in Tomsk let every person to meet his spiritual wishes and to have appropriate spiritual life.

Small wooden houses with carved ornaments, temples and chapels, small churches and historical monuments make Tomsk unusual and the unique one.

Modern city with the population of 600 000 people can’t make anybody indifferent: numerous theatres, museums, art galleries, cinema theatres, nightclubs, restaurants, cafes invite you to enjoy yourselves spending time there.
