A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE AND STUDY TOURISM & HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

Tourism and Hospitality: a dynamic and fun industry with unlimited opportunities

Tourism and hospitality is undoubtedly the largest, fastest growing and most exciting industry in the world today. It offers unlimited career opportunities for aspiring young professionals especially those with a sound university education.

The President of TRINITY International Hospitality Studies and former Minister of Tourism, Nikos Skoulas states: "Recognizing the importance of this industry, our mission is to provide quality education and training both in terms of academic content as well as in terms of practical experience in an environment perfectly suited for this purpose. The live-in facilities and the curricula have been designed to meet the highest international standards of excellence".

TRINITY's PROGRAMS

TRINITY's undergraduate programs grant bachelor and associate degrees in the following fields of Specialization:

Convention, Event and Exhibition Management: The courses of this major have been designed in collaboration with and are endorsed by the Hellenic and European Professional Congress Organizer Associations. (HAPCO and EFAPCO).

The program covers all the essential aspects of research, design, planning, coordination and evaluation of events, conventions and exhibitions of various types and sizes along with in-depth analysis of special event management. Through the program, students also gain knowledge of current professional developments and employment opportunities by interacting with experts and practitioners in the field.

Hospitality & Tourism Management: Students in this department will obtain hands-on experience through courses in hospitality marketing, financial management, information technology and computer applications, food and beverage, tourism management, lodging operations management, etc.

Food, Beverage & Culinary Management: This program enables students to identify and exploit trends in the industry, to effectively deal with budgeting and cost-control; to identify profit opportunities in the different outlets of the food and beverage division, and, above all, to exceed guests' expectations in food and beverage offerings and services.

General Education Requirements: Without neglecting its mission of preparing qualified professionals for the hospitality industry, the TRINITY curriculum contains General Education courses designed to expand horizons and sharpen intellectual skills. They consist of selected courses from the areas of Arts, Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities and Inter-Disciplinary Studies.

Practice makes perfect or "You pay us in the winter, we pay you in the summer"!

Trinity requires all of its full time undergraduate students to gain practical work experience prior to graduation. This experience enables students to acquire vital hands-on training in the multifaceted hospitality industry. This practical experience (internship) is a fully paid work program and earns 4 academic credits for each of the three summers.

Full-time resident students have the opportunity to experience what they study right on the campus, where they enjoy excellent living conditions at Terra Maris Hotel and Convention Center. They live, dine, study, work and relax in a five-star atmosphere.

"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"

At TRINITY we recognize the students' need to relax, let off steam and clear their minds. Athletic and recreational facilities are at the students' disposal. There are three swimming pools right on the campus and a sandy, blue flag beach is only a few steps away. Outside the campus, students can enjoy life, meet and interact with other young people on Crete, the largest island in Greece, share a rich social life, sports, dance, song and other entertainment opportunities.

Crete: A fabulous place to visit - an even better place to study

Crete, the birthplace of European Civilization, is an extremely attractive tourism destination. The climate is mild, the sun shines over 315 days a year and the island is blessed with a unique natural landscape and a rich cultural heritage. Strong family and community ties and a very friendly atmosphere make Crete an ideal living environment. Crete also has a longstanding tradition in hospitality and many years of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry. What better place to host students from around the world.
