These academic
qualifications are
closely tied to employment
and will equip you
with the knowledge
and skills you need
for a career in Computing
and IT or for progression
on to a degree. As
a Cisco Systems Networking
Academy, our HNDs
are structured to
enable you to work
towards an industrial
qualification as
a Cisco certified
network associate,
thereby adding value
to the course.
We offer a choice
of two or three year
programmes in one
of three subject
areas - Computing,
Business Information
Technology and Software
Engineering. After
successfully completing
the HND you can opt
to continue on to
gain a degree with
our BSc (Hons) in
Business Information
Systems programme.
Most HND students
attend for two years
full-time at college,
with the second year
comprising modules
from a chosen specialist
pathway. The course
is broken down into
a number of modules,
all of which are
delivered over an
18 week period. The
modules follow the
national framework

You have the
option of spreading
the course over three
years, with the second
year being spent
at a paid placement
in industry. We will
help you to plan
this sandwich year.
